NSMBA Board of Director August Update
This is a new feature for us, in an ongoing effort to communicate more effectively with our members and the general riding population; the board will have updates for you on what we are working on.
It’s been a busy summer so far for your board of directors, the membership drive has been going strong all summer with pop ups and online efforts – as we strive towards 1500 members!
The fabulous Fivers wrapped up this week; this summer was our most successful series yet. Thank you to everyone who came out to race. Our volunteers and sponsors made this a reality, on behalf of our community Thank You!
The board is currently working on strategy and going through a SWOT analysis (alternatively SWOT matrix). This is an acronym for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats—and is a structured planning method that evaluates those four elements of a project or business venture. The outcome of this analysis will help guide the NSMBA over the next 5years – More information to come by end of year.
Your board is also working on fundraising ideas for 2017; we are developing ideas for a fall 2016 and spring 2017 initiates. The plans are still in the making, the aim is to create products that will help inform and build our community while raising funds for the trail network.
