Andy Rogers

How will you work to achieve the current vision and mission of the NSMBA?

By embracing the core values and mission of the organization to ensure that all users of the local trails enjoy it to the fullest. By working with my fellow directors to ensure a high level marketing support for events, sponsorship and membership recruitment. Create engaging content using various media platforms to ensure all members feel valued and appreciated. Act as an ambassador for the NSMBA and the trails to educate and encourage more and more people to enjoy the sport of mountain biking on the north shore.

List one threat and one opportunity you see for the NSMBA in the near future? What will you do to mitigate that threat and realize that opportunity on behalf of the organization?

Threat: To slow down on some major initiatives – we have come too far this year to take the foot off the gas. I will continue to support and participate in the projects to ensure their success.

Opportunity: TAP Fromme is going to be HUGE! An exciting year ahead for the NSMBA next year and I would like to help contribute wherever I can to the exciting projects that have either been set in motion or in the pipeline by fully supporting the vision of the NSMBA and the future of mountain biking on the north shore.

For the position you've applied for, please describe how you will develop and manage a team to accomplish the directives/goals of your department.

Develop a well planned marketing strategy for the year. Employing the services of volunteers, officers and 3rd party service providers to develop a strong team who can deliver quality materials and content. Setting realistic, yet challenging goals for new member recruitment and events. Raise the bar in terms of the quality of materials produced and help cement the organization as a professional and innovative group of directors, volunteers and members within the riding and non-riding community.

Engage more with our members and provide them with a more involved and stimulating reason to join us, year after year.

Illustrate why you are capable and qualified to lead our organization in the coming years.

With 20 years of riding mountain bikes around the world and nearly 15 years of sales and marketing experience – this position would allow me to contribute on many levels. From the riders/members perspective I can create engaging content to help them feel a part of the team. From a marketing professional's perspective I can help to create credible materials which help drive revenue to the organization, needed for communications with 3rd parties, including sponsors, businesses and land owners/managers.

By producing effective marketing and communication campaigns I believe we can easily double our membership next year, as well increase sponsorship revenue whilst helping to deliver the best experience to anybody who is lucky enough to ride the trails."
