On Feb 18 & 19, 9 NSMBA TAP Builder's were certified in Chainsaw use.  The two day certification course included a day of theory and a day of practical training.  The course was delivered by the affable faller Norman Moore, 30 year professional sawman known to his friends as "Stormin Norman".  At 67, he handles his 42" saw like a man half his age.

The NSMBA would like to thank Metro Vancouver for the use of the Learning Center at Rice Lake as well as the location for bucking practice.

The curriculum covered safe saw use as well as maintenance of the saw and proper PPE.  The NSMBA would like to congratulate the following TAP Builder's for their recent certification:

Seb Kemp
Daniel Lui
Darryl Marlatt
Peter Morin
Sven Luebke
Mark Wood
Earl Allen
Pat Podolski
Chris Barker
