A renowned trail building technique founded by the one and only Todd “Digger” Fiander.

The digger dance is used by builders, trail crew members and volunteers alike when packing down dirt out on the trails. This technique has circulated throughout the North Shore, some would even say that is has completely revolutionized Trail building from here on out.

The “digger dance” references early dance techniques of the 80’s Shore jig, emphasizing its rhythmic motions and eloquent style.

It’s hard to put the trail building technique into exact words. It is recommended that the best way to learn and practice the “Digger Dance” is to attend an upcoming Trail Day….
