Notice of Skills Sought for the 2022 NSMBA Board of Directors

We are looking to fill four positions this year, with two incumbents up for re-election.

Collective NSMBA Board of Directors Attributes Required:

Approachable, flexible schedule, detail-oriented, solution-focused problem solver, effective communicator, organized, big-picture thinker, relationship builder, self-motivated, collaborative, ability to meet deadlines, loves mountain biking and has the desire to build a strong community of trail users of all kinds. 

Priority Skills/Experience needs for NSMBA’s 2021 Board of Directors:

  • Grant writing 
  • Fundraising
  • Sales and marketing 
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Project management
  • Event planning (online, and in person)

 

Demographics:

  • A majority of our current Directors live in North Vancouver and love mountain biking and/or hiking and trail running; we highly encourage that candidates are living in the Metro Vancouver Area due to the events and connection needed to the community.
  • A director will typically spend approximately 2-5 hours each week on NSMBA related tasks so having time to spare is necessary.
  • We strive to further diversify the Board through a wide range of ethnicities, ages, religions, genders, and backgrounds to more accurately represent the population of Metro Vancouver and the mountain biking community as a whole.
