Whether advocating with our 8 land managers, supporting our 50+ volunteer builders or executing the logistics of hundreds of public trail days, we are mostly behind the scenes doing the day-to-day work of the association.
We organize community events, write grants, build relationships with land managers and partners, and share the good work across our website, newsletters, and social media.
The NSMBA is powered by a volunteer advisory board and a small group of paid employees. We all ride, build, volunteer and care a lot about these trails. The organization evolved from a working board to an advisory board with volunteer committees that work on key initiatives. The operations of the association, formerly a responsibility of the working board, now rest on the shoulders of the employees.
