The City of North Vancouver has now launched CityShaping – Let’s Talk About Our Future!
We want to establish an ongoing dialogue with the community to hear what our community members have to say about the future of the City. Please help spread the word about the many opportunities for input. This input will contribute to update of our Official Community Plan (OCP) which provides the vision, goals and overarching direction to every policy, project and program the City pursues.
Please join the conversation by visiting the website, trying out the discussion forum, filling out a survey (there’s a prize!) and checking out one of our community events! We are hosting two events in July and will have a presence at a number of other events throughout the summer – like Party at the Pier in mid July. The two kick-off events are as follows:
Event #1: “Growing a More Sustainable Economy – How?”
A drop-in event organized in collaboration with the Lower Lonsdale Business Association to gather ideas for the future of the local economy
5:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday July 22 – Shipbuilders Square
Event #2: “Social Inclusion and Cultural Diversity – How?
A drop-in event organized in collaboration with North Shore Neighbourhood House to gather ideas on living well together
4:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday July 26 – John Braithwaite Community Centre
