Pre-Reaper Trail Day – Saturday, August 21st.
There's another Pre-Reaper Trail Day on Saturday, August 21st.
With enough help, we can connect the trail right through to the bridge. The stretch goal is fill in the crush and give riders a smooth, flowy trail through what used to be a mud-fest every time it rained. With the work completed by our volunteers in June, plus some extra building by Matt and Alan plus Mike and Roger hauling crush in their spare time, this goal is within reach.
As an added incentive, Whole Foods will be supplying lunch and snacks this time. They've been warned about hungry volunteers, so bring you appetites.
The coffee will be ready at 9AM in Parking Lot #5 on Cypress. The focus will be less on logs and more on crush. The NSMBA will supply tools and gloves. Steel toes are up to you, but they're recommended.
Thanks again for all your help getting us this far. Hope to see you there. Please contact us to confirm if you can make it.
100 Years of BC Parks
2011 marks the 100th birthday of BC Parks. To celebrate this centennial landmark, the North Shore Mountain Bike Association in association with Mountain Equipment Co-op and BC Parks invite you to celebrate mountain bike culture in BC.
Join us on August 27th for a fun-packed, family oriented day celebrating mountain biking in BC at the Old Buck Car Park located at the base of Mount Seymour Provincial Park. Enjoy free food and entertainment. Bring your bike and join one of the planned group rides (teens and adults) or the children's run-bike race.
Mountain bikers enjoying a sunny summer evening in Mount Seymour Provincial Park
There will be free prizes, and a chance to watch the fantastic Flow Riders as they perform their acrobatic bike show. What a perfect way to spend a day with the family, riding bikes and enjoying one of our beautiful provincial parks! See you all there.

2PM to 4PM: The Flow Riders Mountain Bike Acrobatics Show at the top of each hour

Toonie #2 results
I'd like some feedback on whether as a group you want specific names posted with times attached, or just the ranges.
My argument against it is that toonies are supposed to be fun, fairly informal races and I'm a little worried that posting specific results will make it too competitive and some of the slower riders might not want their times made public. Racers were told their times on race day, so they all know and participants can see the results list at the end of the race on race day. We could post the top 'X' number of times though.
