COVID-19 Trail Day Protocols – Updated

by Jul 8, 2021

With the BC Restart Plan moving forward and new guidelines from the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) and Worsafe BC, we’ve updated our current COVID-19 protocols for trail days.

Signing up for a Trail Day:

  • All volunteers will need to sign up for each trail day so we can know how many people will be present. All sign up details for each trail day can be found on our calendar at www.nsmba.ca/events
  • All volunteers must fill out a short health questionnaire before attending a trail day (a form link will be emailed to you before each trail day)
  • All volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival at the trail day

During a Trail Day:

  • Work groups will be limited to 20 volunteers (ex. 20 volunteers and 2 Builders)
  • Face masks are are not mandatory but encouraged
  • Maintaining 2 meters of physical distancing when possible is encouraged
  • Tools, signs and high touch surfaces will be sanitized before and after every trail day
  • Volunteers will choose their tool(s) for the day to limit the amount of tools being shared between people.
  • No work gloves will be provided so volunteers should bring their own (ex. gardening gloves, bike gloves etc)
