Youth Opportunities
The NSMBA offers several opportunities for youth in our community to get involved in trail stewardship and advocacy.
Youth Trail Stewards Program
The Youth Trail Stewards Program promotes trail stewardship and environmental sustainability in partnership with schools in our community. The program consists of two sessions, one in the classroom and one on the trail. The one-hour long interactive classroom presentation instills an understanding of the importance of trails and our relationship to them and to nature.
Youth Trail Days
Youth trail days are organized at the request of a school or other organization.
Youth Camp Partnerships
Weekdays throughout the summer, youth from the summer camp programs from each sponsor will learn about trail stewardship and help maintain Griffen.
Family Trail Days
All youth and families are also welcome to join our public community trail days including our Build Curious trail evenings.
