A Roadmap for the Year Ahead
Objective 1: Create NSMBA Trail Strategy (as introduced in the NSMBA’s 2022 Strategic Plan.)
Under the Responsible Land Use pillar, this objective sets our priority to ensure trail sustainability and improvement of the trail network through maintenance, development, connectivity, and trail variety
Why this matters – To create a sustainable, diverse trail network that truly reflects our community’s needs and enhances your riding experience on the North Shore.
How we’ll measure success:
- Gather feedback from at least 300 members and trail users through events and dedicated sessions
- Share our findings with land managers and members in Fall 2025
- Develop comprehensive trail strategy recommendations by 2026
Objective 2: Strengthen Our Financial Foundation
A focus on Financial Resilience will ensure long-term stability and growth through expanded membership, fundraising initiatives, and securing grants
Why this matters – To ensure NSMBA can continue supporting and expanding our trail network for years to come.
How we’ll measure success by the end of 2025:
- Grow membership revenue to $200,000 through improved renewal rates and new memberships
- Increase sponsorship support to $145,000
- Boost merchandise sales to $20,000
- Raise $30,000 for our Community Trail Fund to support volunteers and grants
Objective 3: Improve Communication and Transparency
Community Impact – communicate the NSMBA impact on the community to inspire support for the organization
Why this matters –To ensure our community understand what we’re doing, why it matters, and how we’re making an impact on the trails you love.
How we’ll measure success:
- Establish baseline satisfaction scores through our 2025 Community Survey in April
- Create clear resources explaining our work with land managers
- Share regular updates on our progress through various channels
