Every dollar you give gets matched, up to $10,000.
The shore is unique, and chances are that your favourite trail has a mix of Flow AND Jank. The trail crew and the volunteer builders of the NSMBA care for all of it! We’re out there buffing the berm on the bypass, and building bridges on boundary.
To celebrate this beautiful blend of flow and jank on the north shore, and to fund the work that keeps it riding well all year round, we’re running a donation matching campaign, complete with stickers and water bottles created by our friend Cy Whitling.
A generous community donor will match every dollar that you provide to support NSMBA’s professional year-round trail work, up to $10,000.
Donations of $50 or more will receive a limited edition water bottle and sticker pack, featuring a Doe riding Flow and Hank riding Jank.
As the NSMBA is a registered charity, donations above $20 receive a tax receipt.

Why Fundraising Matters
With increasing trail usage across the North Shore, NSMBA advocacy work has never been more crucial. Donations, TAP sponsors and membership enable:
- Year-round maintenance by a full-time Trail Crew
- Supporting the work of our dedicated volunteer builders who host 130+ trail days and account for over 11,000+ volunteer hours annually

FAQ
How the match works
How does the match work? A generous community donor will match every dollar you donate, up to $10,000. The match is paid when the campaign ends.
When does the campaign run? October 27 to December 3, 2026. Giving Tuesday is December 2.
What if the $10,000 match fills up before the campaign ends? You can keep donating. Donations after the match is full go directly to the trails, but are not matched.
Is my small donation matched too? Yes. Every donation, at every level, is matched until the $10,000 is reached.
The limited edition pack
Who gets a water bottle and sticker pack? Donors who give $50 or more receive a limited edition Jank & Flow water bottle and sticker pack, featuring a Doe riding Flow and Hank riding Jank.
How many packs are there? There are 100. Once they are gone, donations are still welcome and still matched, but no longer come with a pack.
Who made the art? Cy Whitling created the stickers and water bottle art.
How do I get my pack? Packs are picked up locally. We will email pickup details to you after your donation.
Can I get a pack shipped? Yes, please add Shipping details at Checkout.
Do I have to choose Jank or Flow? No. Every water bottle and sticker pack carries both Jank and Flow graphics, so there is nothing to choose.
Tax receipts
Will I get a tax receipt? Tax receipts are available on request for donations of $20 or more. They are not sent automatically, so please ask for yours via info@nsmba.ca
Do I get a receipt for the full amount if I take the pack? No. When you receive a pack, the receipt covers your donation minus the $27 value of the pack. For example, a $50 donation receives a $23 receipt.
Do I get a full receipt if I choose no pack? Yes. Any donation of $20 or more with no reward is receipted for the full amount, on request.
Does the match get me a bigger receipt? No. Your receipt is for your own donation. The matching gift comes from our community donor.
Why no receipts under $20? To keep our receipting simple and compliant with CRA rules, we do not issue tax receipts for under $20. Those gifts are still matched.
When will I receive my receipt? Receipts are issued after you request one.
Where the money goes
What does my donation fund? It supports the NSMBA’s professional year-round trail work, from buffing berms to building bridges, across the north shore trail network.
Is the NSMBA a charity? Yes. The NSMBA is a registered charity, Business Number 87077 8461 RR0001, effective April 24, 2001.
