Cyclist and Pedestrian Alert
For the next 4-5 weeks, pedestrian and cycling detours may be in effect on the Lions Gate Bridge so that the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure can complete joint replacement work on the North Approach Viaduct, which links Marine Drive to the main bridge. At least one sidewalk will remain open at all times. Sidewalk closures will alternate as required, with signs in place on all approaches to pedestrians and cyclists to the open side.
Please watch for and obey detour signs, use lights and reflective gear, and travel with caution and slower speeds during these times.
