TRAIL DAY SEASON!

Thanks to all of our builders and volunteers who put in some awesome work on the mountains this month.  So many great Trail Days so thank you to all of those that volunteered their time to give back to the trails. Keep an eye on our events calendar for some more upcoming trail days!

Check out below the work that our volunteers and builders have been up to this past month! All of this information is gathered from submitted work reports.

Pangor

TAP Sponsor: Giant Vancouver

Despite the heat, the group finished a Reroute (Photos show walking from the bottom up the new trail), as well as Decommissioning the old line and planting back the woodlands that were removed from the new line.

Meat Sweats

TAP Sponsor: Fox Trail Trust

Tune-up of work completed on TAP day, it is now packed and good for the season. Closed braids and gold pits.

Griffen Ascent

Cleared all drains on the trail and made some improvements to drains—minor trail tread improvements (topped up a few sections with mineral soil). Just some basic work to ensure the trail tread is staying in the best condition during wet weather

Bridle Path

Topped up trai bled and re-established drainage in the climb section near Will’s Way. Created a new grade reversal based on a very large rock, closed and revegetated sections of tread creep, and topped up the trail with mineral soil.

Dales

TAP Sponsor: NSRIDE & COMOR

Trail tread repair and closing braids. Closed and renaturalized braid that was compromising tree roots. Added rock armouring to protect tree roots and reduce future erosion in several locations.
