Toonie #4 Map Thursday July 4th

Wow is it week four all ready? Looking like beautiful weather this week, perhaps a bit warm, but will be dry.

Course is pretty straight forward this week, several sections being used for their second time.

Sign in is at the Water Tower between 5:45 and 6:45pm.

Stage #1 Leopard – Crinkum/Crankum, exit at 3rd switchback

Liaison back up to Pipeline via Mountain Hwy.

Stage #2 Pipeline (teeter/totter and wooden side lines flagged as closed)

Liaison across Baden Powell

Stage #3 Baden Powell starting just at the exit of Big Stupid/Ladies.

A reminder that the BP is a multiuse trail and this isn't the World Cup, please watch for other users and slow down if you encounter other users.

High School League Trail Project – Phase 2 starting mid-July

The NSMBA and Metro Vancouver are pleased to announce the completion of Phase 1 of the North Shore High School League trail project thanks to funding from Deloitte.  The second phase of the project has received funding and work will begin mid-July. We would like to thank all those who donated to the Trails Forever Campaign, which has allowed us to move forward with Phase 2 which will complete this project, fulfilling the goals of creating an encouraging opportunity for our community youth, the North Shore High School League and individuals new to the sport of mountain biking.

The goal of the project is to create a directional, beginner level trail loop in the Hyannis area. As a beginner loop, the course will be a shared community asset and welcome addition to a challenging trail network.

Toonie #3 Results

Updated. Stage placings have been added, and a couple names that were missing have been added.

We had 73 racers out for some classic Shore weather. Crossing our fingers for sunshine next week.
