2012 TAP Celebration

2012 TAP Celebration

On Sept 22nd, builders and adopters got together to celebrate our accomplishments this year with the Trail Adoption Plan.
It was a perfect evening for late September.  Tiki torches were burning on Ryders rooftop patio and the music was pumping!
Tribes gathered round the fire pit, cold beers were cracked and stories shared under the stars.
The big highlight of the evening were the videos created to tell our tale.
Keep checking the NSMBA Vimeo site as we slowly upload the videos.
You can find all of the photos of the TAP Party here.  Thank you to Morgan Taylor from nsmb.com for snapping photos.

There are many people to thank for the efforts to make TAP such a success.
For all of you who have contributed in some way, you deserve thanks for making the Shore a better place.

Please read on for photos and the rest of the story…

VIDEO of the council presentation on Monday September 17th when the NSMBA's Mark Wood & Mathew Bond present "A Community Driven Model for Sustainable Trail Maintenance". Simply click on the 'film' icon in red after opening the link below.  Section 2 has many friends of the NSMBA voicing their support, plus some other interesting presentations.  The NSMBA Presentation and ensuing dialogue with Council can be seen by viewing section 5. Thank you again to everyone who came out to support our efforts and to the DNV Council for considerate dialogue on our proposal.  Special thanks goes out to Ben Campbell-Barry and Phil Bradshaw for their expertise and dedication to seeing through the completion of the Business Case.  The NSMBA is pleased to see that Council has asked the DNV Financial Department and Staff to assess the proposal.

  • Redbull Hardline October 17, 2026

Red Bull Hardline heads to beautiful British Columbia for its first-ever event in Canada, as riders prepare to take on this iteration of the world's most extreme downhill race at Cypress Mountain.

The unforgettable course at Cypress Mountain will be incomparable to other downhill bike courses, with elements borrowed from dirt jumping and BMX that are not allowed in the World Cup and other UCI races. These include massive jumps and gaps, steep drops of 10m plus, 'rock gardens', and steep descents.

You can catch all the action LIVE on Red Bull TV on Saturday, October 17. Want to witness the action in person? Tickets for Red Bull Hardline British Columbia will be going on sale soon! Check back soon for more information.
