Toonie Race Update!
The first race had to be pushed from June 25, 2011 to July 16, 2011. Still a Saturday though. Subsequent races will be on the last Tuesday of the month (July 26 and August 30…Toonie Tuesdays!). For all races, all participants need to be NSMBA members in order to be insured. Memberships are good for a year from the purchase date. There is no need to purchase any other membership or license, though we'll take a toonie from ya on race day!
On July 16th, the race will be on Fromme and will be an intermediate level route where most features have ride arounds.
The last volunteer call out was successful! As of yesterday, the volunteer roster is up to 30 people! If you are interested in volunteering, especially for the Tuesday races or if you have first aid certification, please email me at ilana@nsmba.ca or if you have general questions, email us at toonie@nsmba.ca
Lastly…we are looking for very special company to help us make these races more affordable for us to host! If your wonderful company is interested in reviewing a sponsorship package, or in donating some sweet swag to give away to the participants and volunteers, please email alex@nsmba.ca
Pangor TAP Trail Day
Trail: Team Pangor
My back aches, my pants are filthy and if anyone asks me to grab a bucket, it had better be full of Corona’s. Trail days are hard work, love them or hate them, they are a requirement so that we can all have trails to enjoy, today and tomorrow. For me trail days are a full emotional journey…
Anticipation
Knowing warm out of the oven cinnamon buns and coffee await all the brave soldiers that decide to come out to lend a hand.
Optimism
