Trails For All Youth Program:
With donations from Arc’teryx and Trips For Kids, and in collaboration with Endless Biking, the NSMBA recently ran youth programs for KidSafe and Squamish Nation (via the Chief Joe Mathias Centre). These sessions were free to attend and focussed on getting youth aged 8-12 out onto the trails to participate in trail building and learn riding skills.
It was rad to see the kids learn how to build trails and ride mountain bikes! We hope to run this program again in 2025 and inspire a new generation of trail builders and riders!
About KidSafe and the Chief Joe Mathias Centre:
- KidSafe provides a safe space for children facing adversity to learn, play, eat, and just be kids, when school is not in session
- The Chief Joe Mathias Centre offers a variety of recreation programs to Squamish Nation Members, the activities are designed to benefit community members physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Big thanks to Arc’teryx, Trips For Kids, and Endless Biking for their support and thanks to Andre Perret, NSMBA Builder Trevor Hansen and Director at large Ben Organ.
Trails For All. Trails Forever.
