2011 Director Nominations – Races

Nov 14, 2011

Ilana Wapniarski

How will you work to acheive the current vision and mission of the NSMBA?

By organizing race events, I will engage the mountain bike community to become and stay involved with the NSMBA.  This will increase our membership and visibility in the community, helping the NSMBA have a stronger voice in terms of advocacy and be a stronger organization in general.  This is vital for having trails for and trails forever!

2011 Director Nominations – Sponsorship

Nov 14, 2011

Andrew Hewitson

How will you work to achieve the current vision and mission of the NSMBA?

I will work to increase financing through both bike and non biking industry sponsorship.  By building new relationships and strengthening existing ones I hope to lay the foundation for long term sponsorship that will allow the NSMBA to continue to grow it's advocacy, events and trail programs.

  • Redbull Hardline October 17, 2026

Red Bull Hardline heads to beautiful British Columbia for its first-ever event in Canada, as riders prepare to take on this iteration of the world's most extreme downhill race at Cypress Mountain.

The unforgettable course at Cypress Mountain will be incomparable to other downhill bike courses, with elements borrowed from dirt jumping and BMX that are not allowed in the World Cup and other UCI races. These include massive jumps and gaps, steep drops of 10m plus, 'rock gardens', and steep descents.

You can catch all the action LIVE on Red Bull TV on Saturday, October 17. Want to witness the action in person? Tickets for Red Bull Hardline British Columbia will be going on sale soon! Check back soon for more information.
