Outdoor Recreation Council of BC Workshop Oct 29 & 30
On October 29 & 30, Mathew Bond NSMBA President & Mark Wood NSMBA Director, participated in the ORC Workshop:
"WORKING TOGETHER: FINDING SOLUTIONS TO REGIONAL AND COMMUNITY TRAIL ISSUES"
With the increasing use of trails by different recreation groups throughout BC, conflicts can develop between various users. This workshop will take two examples in the Lower Mainland to review how such conflicts can arise and explore ways to deal with them.
It was a broad mix of recreationalists in attendance: Trails BC, Hike BC, Moto, ATV, Horsemen and many government bodies including the Ministry of Natural Resource Operations (MNRO) and Metro Vancouver. Representing mountain bikers were the NSMBA and Mike Nelson from SORCA.

Muddbunnies Riding Club Fund-raiser evening at the Bridge Between Pub Friday November 5th
Biking, Beer and Bunnies – the perfect formula for a Friday night fundraiser!
On November 5th, please join the Muddbunnies Riding Club to watch an evening of mountain biking pictures & videos.
We will be showing several mountain biking slide-shows and videos produced by some of our very own amateur ShutterBunnies.
Plus, we will be featuring slide-shows from local pro and semi-pro mountain biking photographers, both of whom have been Muddbunnie Calendar Photographers.

We are a volunteer driven non-profit organization dedicated to caring for a sustainable trail network within the community.

Red Bull Hardline heads to beautiful British Columbia for its first-ever event in Canada, as riders prepare to take on this iteration of the world's most extreme downhill race at Cypress Mountain.
The unforgettable course at Cypress Mountain will be incomparable to other downhill bike courses, with elements borrowed from dirt jumping and BMX that are not allowed in the World Cup and other UCI races. These include massive jumps and gaps, steep drops of 10m plus, 'rock gardens', and steep descents.
