Lower Griffen Ascending Trail
A new climbing line has been created on Fromme with collaboration between the DNV and the NSMBA.

This is to be used by riders exitting from Immonator instead of descending on the Baden Powell. To clarify-all riders are to please use this to climb to exit at water towers.
It is an ascending only trail and is not built to handle downhill traffic as the corners are climbing corners, therefore too tight for descending and therefore will require heavy braking which will destroy the trail tread. Please help us work together as a community to keep it climbing only.
Please exit by the water towers. Please follow the new trail signage that leads bikers to the new trail head near the water towers. We ask for your cooperation with this to ensure continued positive relations with area residents as well as the DNV.
The area to the west has been deactivated by the DNV to alleviate sustainability issues, but primarily due to the infringement on private land. Please stay out of this zone as the forest rehabilitates.

Bobsled Re-Route
On Friday night I was getting ready for Saturday’s trail day. I prepped my waterproof gear expecting a rainy day. Luckily, we woke up to a pretty nice, foggy day. A fantastic turnout of 25 eager volunteers came to help with the new Bobsled reroute.
Richard Juryn Trail Day
Norco John Henry Bikes had their best turnout ever with 16 people coming to do much needed work on a particularly poorly aligned corner on the Richard Juryn Trail. Led by Jaclyn Delacroix the NJHB crew completely rebuilt it. If you’ve ever been on the trail you know the corner we are talking about! Years of accumulated organic material and what appears to be previous attempts to fix the corner with sticks and the occasional partially rotted log had done nothing but create an area that caught and retained water.

Red Bull Hardline heads to beautiful British Columbia for its first-ever event in Canada, as riders prepare to take on this iteration of the world's most extreme downhill race at Cypress Mountain.
The unforgettable course at Cypress Mountain will be incomparable to other downhill bike courses, with elements borrowed from dirt jumping and BMX that are not allowed in the World Cup and other UCI races. These include massive jumps and gaps, steep drops of 10m plus, 'rock gardens', and steep descents.
